I know she likes plants and things like that, should I get her a gift card instead? What would you prefer?

I always prefer a gift. Bonsia is nice but requires lots of clipping and care to keep it beautiful and in shape. If she likes plants she might love it. I would.

I'm sure she would like a bonsai, BUT be very careful that you buy one from the person who planted and trimmed it. Also, you MUST determine if she will want an indoor or outdoor bonsai. There is a strong difference. You may want to look at my site:

My Mr. the same!!
If your mother loves house plants she just might like one!
Gift cards are so impersonal and one rarely uses the whole amount on the card, giving that extra money to the company it was issued from.

I am a mother and would love a bonsai--Christmas or not!
I have mentioned how much I would like one off on on for a few years and still haven't got one!
I know I could easily buy one myself but..I really don't know why I don't. I guess it isn't the same.
All my plants have been gifts and I love them and know who got me what and for what reason, makes them more speical!

That would be great and would probably be something that she wouldn't go out and buy everyday. I would love one and I know she would too.

If she likes plants and has time for it yes....for me no I would kill it and then feel guilty.
