I mean something that you have actually held in your hand or seen with your own eyes and it disappeared? I have read accounts of buildings, ancient edifices that have disappeared and seen something like that once in my life and was wondering if anyone else ever has?

I had a really freaky thing happen when I was working on one of the healing wands that I make. I put it down on the coffee table, (never moved off my spot on the couch) and threaded my beading needle. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't there. I looked everywhere for it, on the floor, under the couch, under the cushions, went thru that room with a flashlight! No wand. About an hour later, I was reading, sitting still, having given up on the thing , and I felt something tap me on the hip. I looked down, and the wand was leaning against my side. I was alone on the couch at the time. Not even a cat. My husband was across the room at his computer, and he hadn't moved.

Now, I am essential a pragmatist. I always look for the obvious explanation first. And this time, there wasn't one.

Where did it go?

Are you referring to "illusions" or the "time/space displacement theories"?
I know that certain objects disappear & reappear within minutes when I ask for them to please be returned, then I say "thank You" when they re-appear. The remote control often vanishes & is returned "magically" to a place where I know it never was! Did you move into a haunted building? Don't freak...it's really quite fun.

Not that I can recall, but I can imagine its a little unsettling for those who lived/worked near or in the twin towers.

I saw a man upon the stairs. I saw a man who wasn't there. I saw him there again to day. Gee I wish he'd go away.

I'm happy to say I never have and if it were to happen now, I'd blink my eyes and try to remember if I'd taken my meds today. I'd like to hear your story though.

I don't think so. But I am interested in your experience with this phenomenon.
