pictures may be helpful if your explaining to me having to draw it out and see for myself.
or a good worded explanation w/o me having to mentally or physically picture something. this would be way better because i need to do homework explaining this.

When you use Angle Side Side, there are two possible triangles.

Imagine that you draw the given angle, and measure out the side next to the angle. (AB will be the "upper" arm of the angle, and BC the "lower" arm of the angle).

Now, from point C you can draw two possible lines CB that intersect the upper arm; one of these will be at an acute angle to AB, and the other at an obtuse angle.

Thus there are two possible triangles which have the same Angle Side Side measurements.

(The included angle can vary).

Angle-Side-Side can help determine the last side, but there is no defined value for the last side.
