Mearsheimer/Walt interview

America spends $3bn a year in largely military assistance - one-sixth of its direct aid budget - to help a prosperous, nuclear-armed country, and strongly backs Israel in negotiations on Middle East peace.

But according to Mearsheimer and Walt, the US gets remarkably little in return.

They reject the argument that Israel is a key ally in America's "war on terror".

On the contrary, they contend, US patronage of Israel fuels militant anger - as well as fostering resentment in Arab countries that control vital oil supplies.

$$$$$$$ and it our taxes money that's ...

This is how it work....

1st, you lobby for aid to israel then use some of that money funnel back to u.s and buy out all medias, financial support to all politicians elections and have 'em vote in favorite of any bills for israel / jews / forgive loans to israel, more aid to israel like 8 billions a yrs. , more loans like 10 billions and probably don't have to pay back a dime . Denounce statements to politician dare to say thing about jews might consider anti-semitic craps. turn any arabs legit organizations could be consider terror. And turn g.w bush in to a Pinocchio.

They pour a lot of money in to lobbying, have lots of people in positions of power and they are a very tight network.

Seven reckons you are anti-Jew.Does she want us all to live in a world were we do not criticise what we see as wrong.Who would have stopped Hitler then?I am Atheist but was brought up Catholic.I would expect every faith to criticise the actions of the Catholic church in the recent abuse scandal.I wouldn't say 'oh they're just anti-Catholic.'Calling someone anti-Jewish is just a way of trying to silence people.
