Firstly you are so lucky to have kids to buy presents for enjoy this privelidge. You will never keep children away from their beloved Christmas Presents.Looks as though you will have to rise at 4am on Christmas morning to see their faces as they open all their pressies.Until then you can leave the presents with a neighbour or a freind until that big day arrives, and wont be long now.Have a lovely Christmas and be patient with the kids.

I used to leave a present by their bedside. When they woke up they were so excited about it that I would hear them talking to each other - there was only 2 years between them.

I guess they also knew that I was excited too and wanted to be with them to see what Santa had brought! It was just a case of 'Lets all go downstairs together'.

Theres no way mine would go downstairs without asking first, weve taught her from an early age to ask first if she wants to go downstairs in the morning if we arent up, I think it stems from when she was little and just starting to negotiate using the stairs, one of us would always have to be there to help her down them.

Every morning shes awake around 6am and she always comes into our room and asks if she can go downstairs and watch tv until its time to get ready for school. She never goes downstairs without asking first.

If we tell her not go go down until we are all awake, she wont, we are very lucky we have a very easy going obedient child!

I remember when I was little, me and my brothers used to try and sneak downstairs, but our dad would always catch us, our stairs were too squeeky!
