You should get approval from your DOCTOR before going against what the prescription says!

You may still get your period, or your cycle may also be screwed up for a while.

I skipped my placebo week one time, and never again, since it took months for me to get regulated. It was also heavier and worse than usual.

If you don't want periods that often you should talk to your doctor about getting on Lybrel or Seasonale or Seasonique instead of skipping pills you should be taking.

If you are interested in having less periods, ask your doc about Seasonique. You only have a period every 3 months. This pill is formulated to have shorter periods too, average 3 days.

If you skip your last week of Yaz and go right into the next pack you could have break through bleeding, because this pill is meant for you to have a monthly period. Also, if you have insurance that pays for your Yaz, you may not be able to fill your prescription a week early unless you pay the full cost for the pill.

I don't think with yaz you'll be able to skip your period. But there are contraceptive pills that do give off about 4 periods a year ( i forget the name). However, I believe there's 7 brown pills and 21 white or visa versa. Whichever color, the 7 pills are placebos or reminder pills, it doesn't matter rather or not you take them. Just pick up on the new set of 21 pills on the 29th day or after the last placebo...get it?

You can manipulate your period but not taking the placebo pills for that week and continuing on to the next cycle. Then you can go back on cycle just by taking it normally.
