The fender strat is one of the most famous and influential electric guitars ever produced. It is definitely a good one. Ever hear of a guy named Jimi Hendrix? It was good enough for him! Now...practice!

The strat that you've purchased is a good middle of the line model from Fender.Although some lower cost models are made in Indonesia,they still are produced with the same authentic standards as the U.S.A. models.
The higher end strats with a price range of 900-1400$ are made here in the U.S.
You'll like the sound of the 'single coil' pick-ups that only a Fender stratocaster can deliver.Clean,crisp or twangy for the country sound,or you can get a nice dirty tone if you set your amp's gain control.
As far as I'm concerned there is only 2 guitars a player needs......An authentic strat,and a Les Paul standard.
