I heard people say that emotional tears are poisonous. Is that true?

Not biochemically. Emotions are more often harmful to you if they are not expressed, rather than appropriately expressed, such as with tears. Emotions are harmful to you and others if improperly expressed, such as expressing anger with revenge.

The chemical make up of tears produced by some sort of emotion differ slightly to other causes of eye lubrication. However, there is no evidence to suggest that they are poisonous, at least not to a harmful level. Most of the articles you might come across stating that they are poisonous are speculation.

I doubt that humans would evolve over millions of years to produce poisonous tears.

But then again, I never cry! (yeah right)

They are poisonous only to the one who broke your heart. But revenge is a great cure!

Sorry, I had to do that.

Tears, no matter how they are created are always the same. They lubricate your eyes and turn into snot in your nose. Not hardly poisonous at all.

Tears are 99 percent salt water. There is nothing toxic in any tears. You'll have to find some other way to kill the SOB.
