I have a Norton Internet Security installed, but the trial period will expire soon. For me to continue using it, i have to renew my subscription through the web. My question is this, is it safe to give my credit card account to renew or purchase the software?

You want to see a sign on the webpage that says, protected by "VeriSign", (High encryption). And when you do complete the transaction, make sure if asked, "do you wish to save your data?, say "no". And sign out. Also shut down your PC and reboot. (This is the safe way only).

Make sure that you have a good firewall that works two ways, incoming and outgoing.

You really don't want to know what I think about Nortons. (There is an old saying, if you have nothing good to say about something best that you say nothing).

MAKE SURE THE PAGE IS AN https
tHIS MEAN A SECURE CONNECTION
What i would do is always try to go to the store to buy a software its always better not to give your card number away
are maybe open a paypal account and always use that to pay on the internet so only one compagny as your cc number
for norton u can find the software anywhere to buy it and there web site anyways is really secured so you are fine with them

Just get a limited amount credit card with just enough to pay for the software, that way if it gets stolen, you don't lose anything.
