How about we put Santa on the cross and Jesus in the sleigh with all the toys and other gifts. Sorry if I offended anyone, but that seems about the only way to get Jesus back into Christmas. Agree?????????

Hey, I think Jesus "should" be in Christmas, it's just that it is so commercialized that Santa seems to be getting a bigger share of the holiday.
Report me if you want to but, I still think it's a good question.

One tradition from my youth was that my Auntie Peggy used to bake a birthday cake for the baby Jesus, and my cousins and I would sing Happy Birthday to him.
Why not start this tradition in your own family with neighbors, friends and relatives?
I'm a devout Catholic who loves and believes in Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, but I treasure the wonder of Santa Claus for young and old alike.

Actually, it was, I believe a Pope, who was asked on what day Jesus was born. He secretly told someone he didn't know, but sent back to word to the asker that he was born on December 25th, the day of a pagan holiday. His goal was to erase the pagan holiday with a new Christ-centered holiday, though really it just combined the two. I might not have that precisely right, but it's something like that. Btw, how can we put Santa on the cross, if he doesn't exist? I never thought he did, and always thought the whole thing was stupid, and immature.

Atlhough I was not raised in a Christian household, I do strongly believe in the Heavenly father and the Holy Spirit and use this time of year to thank the Lord for my countless blessings. I did not grow up celebrating Christmas as the birth of Christ, and whilst I see your point, I do believe in some ways such an action would be innappropriate for those who do not believe in the Lord - I do believe ALL people, regardless of religion should be able to celebrate XMAS if they so choose. However, I do think it may well be time that the multi-billion dollar corporations who are largely responsible for the commercialisation of XMAS should be showing Jesus in a positive light, rather than destorying the XMAS story in their advertisements.

how about we stop bashing everyone and everything and just enjoy the moment? honestly everyone is so busy pointing fingers at everyone else and criticizing everyone and everything that it seems we have all forgotten about His teachings.
i know a lot of people seem to treat christmas as who gets the most stuff, or the best stuff, or who has the best decorations or the best anything. but underneath all of that i refuse to believe they have honestly forgotten the true meaning of the holiday.
so lets all get off our high horses, and be a little nicer, a little kinder, a little softer and a lot more forgiving and tolerant.
merry christmas!

After doing some research I have learned that the US Court House ruled in favor of parents wanting Christmas to be celebrated in schools since is not a religious activity is a pagan one. 1980 Veredict.

Before Jesus there was no christmas. Jesus Christ... Hence CHRISTmas. Christmas was based on Jesus' birth. Which may not even be his real birth date, but it was based on it. And I agree that Christ should be remembered not some lame old fat man.

Jesus is in Christmas, if you want Him there. What others do or feel or think means nothing, its whats in YOUR heart and mind that counts to you.
