Mormons do NOT practice ploygamy, and have not for over 150 years. In 1998, President Gordon B. Hinckley made the following statement about the Church's position on plural marriage:
"This Church has nothing whatever to do with those practicing polygamy. They are not members of this Church. . . . If any of our members are found to be practicing plural marriage, they are excommunicated, the most serious penalty the Church can impose. Not only are those so involved in direct violation of the civil law, they are in violation of the law of this Church."
At various times, the Lord has commanded His people to practice plural marriage. For example, He gave this command to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon (Doctrine and Covenants 132:1).
In this dispensation, the Lord commanded some of the early Saints to practice plural marriage. The Prophet Joseph Smith and those closest to him, including Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball, were challenged by this command, but they obeyed it. In 1890, President Wilford Woodruff received a revelation that the leaders of the Church should cease teaching the practice of plural marriage.

The fact of the matter is that the population is 50-50 for men to women. If you have 100 men with 2 wives each, then there are another 100 men who will not have any. With such a ratio, men without women on average tend to get more violent and crime oriented.
Go back hundreds or thousands of years ago. Men had shorter life expectancies. When the kingdom or country would go to war, many men on both sides died. The women and children tended to head away from danger while men would go out and fight. This meant that there were more women for the men that survived. To ensure the survival of the people, maximum reproduction was needed and the women needed support. With this, more than one wife per man was the way of life.

It is against the law in all 50 states regardless of what the Mormon bible states. Just because the bible reads something, doesn't mean you have to follow it.
Kinda like where is it written that it is OK for a priest to touch small boys in an inappropriate way?
You get what I mean.

The Bible says a lot of things that if taken as is would change society. I wouldn't receive the much appreciated responses that I get from women on this site if THE BIBLE was strictly followed. If you want to have the man in your house have many women then go ahead but as far as the public realm goes, no one will recognize it. Do what you want in the privacy of your own home.

You obviously aren't writing about the Salt Lake church, which outlaws the practice of polygamy.
There's a BIG difference between religious polygamy and some of the stuff that the fundamentalist LDS groups practice. Look at Warren Jeffs...it's not about religion or Constitutional rights. It's about rape, abuse, incest, and child molestation.

Mormons use no alcohol, caffeine, or different recommendations changing ingredients. they suspect in marriage to one man or woman for the existence and on into the "after-existence". for my section, they're very sparkling and sober human beings. a marriage ought to (at it slow) be comprehensive in the Temple.

Contrary to what you may have heard, Mormons (LDS) only have one wife. Polygamy stopped being practiced in 1890. Other groups who are not Mormon may practice it now, but not the LDS.

I do not believe in that religion or any other organized religion, I have seen nothing but trouble come from the church, especially the LDS church. You believe in what you believe and that is your right and everyone Else. I think you should live to the fullest and make this life as happy and successfully as you can without hurting someone. My answerer is no. Good luck.
