Realistically, how often should a wife expect sex with her husband?

I think things go in phases; sometimes if should be a few times a week, but at times also might more or less. Stress, illness, work, and so on always enter the picture and you have to make an assessment as to why things are going the way they are. When you start worrying about it things can get even worse. I think the word 'expect' is problematic... if you're expecting it or feel you're owed it, this might create an adversarial relationship as opposed to a cooperative effort.

Probably not as often as a husband expects it from his wife. However everyone has a different sex drive and I have heard of the wife's being stronger then the man's. Unfortunately, that marriage was an open one for her and she slept around a lot to get her needs satisfied. I think there are safer alternatives to satisfy yourself without seeking an outside partner. I'm sure you will find a vast array of supplies with a google search.

2-3 times per week. Sometimes stress can reduce his need for sex. Try explaining to him if you have concerns. I know if my wife came into the bedroom wearing a silky nightgown, etc... it would be no question. You might try having your young one stay with grandparents, or other family for the evening. That would free you all from the stress to enjoy each other.

Hahaha sorry but just reading some answers. Just do it when your in the mood. No one can say how many times is right. Theres no set time or date or how many times. Just do it when youse guys are getting close. Yes sometimes its pretty difficult to have sex when you have a child in the house. Especially if they are young. Have alone time with your husband when they go to bed

I believe that some sort of sexual contact should be expected at least twice a week. Sexual contact keeps the intimacy in a relationship, without intimacy, your relationship could turn into a friendship. Some private moments, inside jokes, and sexual contact and connection can keep the intimacy alive.
