It has to be a debatable topic in history during 1877-1917. It should be something that has at least two sides to the arguement. I am completely lost on what topic I should pick, so I need as many suggestions as I can get. PLEASE!!! ASAP.....

You could write about who is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic. I wrote a paper about it a few years ago...and there are many reasons for why it sank (and why so many people died)...so there are also many possible places to put the blame (or the larger portion of it any way). Blame the buliders/designers w/ poor materials? or the captain and others who did not turn around despite the ice warnings? If you are interested in this topic let me know...I may be able to pull up some old sources.
