Help me remember a band name?

I remember I used to have a tape of this band. I was pretty sure the name was Base is Base or Base of Base, but I cannot find anything anywhere on the net... the band had a male and a female singer.....and NO it was not ACE OF BASE!!!

Could it be the 1980s New Wave group Face To Face? This group did have a male and female singer.
