funny how no one asked you if you had an automatic, or a manual transmission ... also, is it 4 wheel drive?

There's SO many different things that could be suggested to help you, but no one bothered to ask the right questions.

Please, be more specific with your question. Which engine is in your truck?

Is it a 1500, 2500, 3500?

4 wheel drive, or 2 wheel drive?

and most importantly, automatic or stick shift?

Sounds to me like your transmission is shot. There are bands and a transmission over a quantity of time that placed on out and that they start to slip. similar to a customary transmission while the take carry of wears out. while the take carry of wears out, it won't shift in any equipment because of the fact it would not disengage the transmission from the flywheel. an automated transmission the bands would assist you to flow into equipment yet do not correct work together with the engine. i'm not a mechanic yet I actual have owned many autos by the years. Ford looks the sole motor vehicle i've got ever had to change transmissions in. For some reason they have a crappy transmission. Take out your transmission oil stick and spot if it would not smell burnt. it is going to be a solid coloration of pink and not have a burnt smell. lots greater probable you're gazing 2 or $3000 to change it. i desire your payee economic corporation is comprehensive. solid luck

Possibly some kind of theft deterrent. Try disconnecting the battery for 30min, then reconnect. Or else, may be some serious mechanical malfunction.
