You can put a beared dragon in a cup if you wanted but its not going to be happy its like saying how small of a house can a human live in. Well i can live in my bathtub BUT it wouldnt be good for me and i wouldnt like it, its just like that for beared dragons
IF ITS A BABY.
You can start a baby for the first 4 to 6 months in a 30 inch long enclosure. Keeping a baby in a larger area can sometimes cause problems as the baby may have a hard time finding his food, water, basking sites and shelters.
The smallest enclosure for one or two adult bearded dragons is either a 4-foot x 2 foot tank or a 6-foot x 18-inch tank. A single adult should not be kept in a tank smaller than a standard 55 gallon (48 inch x13 -inch) tank. Anything smaller will restrict activity in a way that is not healthy for the beardie.
HOPE THIS HELPS c=

It really depends on the size of the dragon a baby can live for a couple months comfortably in a ten gallon tank later i would suggest a 20 gallon long tank and an adult can be put in a 30 gallon tank but i would always suggest bigger
A 50 or 60 gallon would fit a beardie pretty perfectly as an adult.

I reccomend never putting a beardie in anything less than 16 gallons. They are used to being out on in the desert with no restrictions. Too small might get your beardie depressed and lonesome. If you have more than one beardie i wouldn't put them in a tank less than 40 gallons. They need their space. Bearded dragons are amazing animals and i hope you have a successful time with them lilke i had.

20 gallon but you mind as well get a 55 gallon tank as they are everywhere and many places have them on sale because of the Holidays. Why waste money and have to buy two, I know Jacks aqaurium and pets has tanks a dollar a gallon and someone else posted this wonderful site tanks are really cheap!

An adult beardie needs at least a 40 gallon breeder tank (they are wider instead of taller). Larger is better. Beardies should not be housed together.
