By pfa I assume you mean a Protection from Abuse order.

You don't include enough info to give a perfect answer, however I will try.

A lease is a legal and binding contract. You may be able to buy your way out of it, but that would take the cooperation of your landlord.

If you walk away the landlord can hold you responsible for unpaid rent. It would be easy to get a judgment against you in small claims court. Then the landlord could attach your wages.

Talk to the landlord, explain you situation. Offer to pay rent until a new renter is found.

Make him pay for the place. Or... You can talk to the land lord and let him know the situation and that you have to terminate the lease. If the person is at all compassionate for people he might be able to help you. Good luck and I'm sorry you have to go through divorce. Its not any fun.

What does your lease say about early term? Your personal problems won't affect those contract terms. You can try to talk to the landlord and work out a settlement deal -- get it in writing.

Chances are you will lose your deposit and have to pay a couple months extra rent.
