There doesn't "have to be" at all.

The best anyone could possibly do would be an entry in a dictionary of slang, and that wouldn't be probative anyway.

If, for some reason that I can't even imagine, a lawyer needed to satisfy a court that "face book" was slang for a book of mugshots, he'd simply call a cop or two, or a criminal defense lawyer or prosecutor, to testify that it's a slang usage that he's familiar with.

google "slang" face book.

go to the library and ask them for help with a slang dictionary.
