A separation is good to get some space and think clearly but if she's seeing someone else I think it's you that needs to do the serious thinking. Sounds like she wants to have a go with the other guy and if it doesn't work she's got you on hold. If my partner hooked up with someone else I'd be showing them the door!

It means she wants to make sure she likes being apart from you or with this other person before completely cutting off the relationship. Kinda like having your cake and eating it too..that way if she decides she really doesn't like it she can try to work it out with you. It's like saying "Lets take a break" but either you want to work your marriage out or not. She's already let go emotionally from the relationship in a big way so I suggest you start trying to do the same so you can start to move on.

If i was in your position i would look at it as she is keeping her options open. If it dosent work out with the guy she will come back to you. If my husband did that to me and asked me for a seperation and then started seeing someone else i would just get on with my life. A seperation should really be time out to clear your head not a chance to go and shack up with the next best thing. I wouldnt take them back if they did it to me. I wish you luck and the strength to move on

That's the whole thing right there!She wants to separate to make it seem okay to her to be with someone else but wants to keep you on the side when she's done.At this point,she may be seeing someone at this moment.If you love her,tell her no!If she wants the separation,then divorce her!She wants the best of both worlds,let her have one or the other.

The red flag I see, besides the fact she is cheating, is the credit cards with both your names on them! She can run those up buying her new BF stuff and you will have to pay for it. So you need to sit her down and straighten out your finances and then get some legal advice.
If she's cheating, then you better be the one to file for divorce.

Its probably a lead in to a divorce, & shes trying to let you down real gentle like, so you dont get pissed & ruin her little affair. Maybe shes seeing IF this relationship will last, before kicking you out of her life compleatly. Get on with your life, you deserve better.

If the new guy don't work out she can run back to you until the next guy comes around or until you get sick of it!
