To resolve an issue with another person, it takes two people to work it out!! One person deciding--isn't resolution. You walk away if they don't want to play!

I think that the best way to do that is to sit down and figure out what caused the issue in the first place. Be completely honest with yourself, and take responsibility for any part you may have had in it. While doing so, remember not to blame yourself for their part. Sometimes I have found it helpful to have someone who will just listen to me talk about the situation. Another way I have dealt with it, was to write them a letter that said everything that I would want to say. I would swear and call them whatever I wanted. OF COURSE, I NEVER sent this letter, but it made me feel better. I also want to tell you to remember that you CANNOT make a person change. That is something that they must do for themselves, and ONLY for themselves. Otherwise, it isn't real. Without knowing more details of the situation, that's the best advice I can give you. I hope it helps.

You can only help change you. Remember that. I often see persons trying to change the other partner. Take a long hard look at yourself. Change you. Let them know that you can only change you. Make the changes on you and decide whether you want what they have to offer or not. Move on if you have to. Keep healthy boundaries.

The only way I know of is to come to your own conclusions to the situation and be content to know you have tried but it takes two. You can't make someone do something (unfortunately they have to decide to participate and if they don't then you have to leave it alone)
All any of us can do in this life is the best we can - be happy with that.
