OKAY, I AM WORKING ON A 62 CHEVY IMPALA, 4 DOOR, AND THE INSIDE DOME LIGHTS DIDNT HAVE LIGHTS IN THEM WHEN I BOUGHT IT, SO I PUT IN SOME NEW ONES, BUT AS SOON AS I TURNED THE LIGHTS ON IT BLOWS A FUSE, THIS HAPPENS ON BOTH DOME LIGHTS (ONE FOR EACH DOOR) DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA WHERE I SHOULD START LOOKING FOR A SHORT ???

check the hot wire from the fuse box, you have a direct short that will fry the bulb and fuse every time

the ground wire well see how many amps this one is drawing and if it is the sme as the last one and se if you hooked it up to the right fuse

a short! in unit that hold lights , maybe remove entire unit and replace.. look in old car parts catalog... to try before rplaceing unit use fluke meter?
