Has anyone else noticed how prominent it is on here? It's disgusting, not to mention pathetic, how petty some people can get while discussing something as trivial as musical taste. Do they honestly believe that they are the only people capable of having "good" taste in music? Your thoughts on this?
And if you have a reply similar to "Well, I'm only a snob when it comes to -insert band name here-..." know that you're just as bad as the rest. There's a difference between stating an opinion, and destroying an opinion.

Yeah, I agree. I hate some bands, but I respect that other people like them. Musical taste is a very personal thing, and some people just don't get that, which is a shame.
I don't know if it's "disgusting", but music is so personal. It really does depend on who you are. Music is not "just music" to a lot of people, and that is, I think, the root of this "snobbery."
People just need to keep in mind that their music, however passionate or otherwise they feel about it, is not the only music in the world and others are allowed to have their say as well.

Deal with it! People are going to bash things they do not like because they have a different belief and opinion than the other person. GET REAL no matter what you say its not going to stop it, it never has,and it never will! Its also the truth like when some people ask questions like "Fall Out Boy is the best band ever in the world right?" Its clearly false because they are not the best band in the world. You just can't accept the truth.

there's also a difference between good and bad music (for example almost ALL pop music today is BAD). people have and will always disagree over music taste, i don't see anything wrong with debate. i wouldn't take it personally if people thought i listened to crap, i know that i have excellent music taste and people can say as they wish.
