sellingout is not change for money. because people change s there music will change too. so that not selling out to. ok iam just say thier band of are indie with on lable who make money.So that base of my question.

No, I dont think so atleast. When you sign to a lable, your signing an agreement for that lable to help you get your music out there. And your thinking all bands are in it for the music. wrong! haha

I've never understood the "sell out" concept. When a band becomes successful and creates a fan base thats not the norm they are labeled. Well isnt that what most bands strive for? Success? Isnt that the end goal? To sell millions of albums and make lots and lots of money?

Making money off your music is not selling out. Changing your music or style simply to get signed to a major label so that you can make lots of money is.

(there is a difference between changing your style to explore new horizons, and changing your style just to sell records).

I don't really understand what being a "sellout" means. I suppose it means letting the money affect the quality of the music you make, but really, all artists are out to make money. As much as they may love their music and genuinely enjoy what they do, they wouldn't be able to make their music without money.

No money means no music. They need to make a profit. They need to eat, just like everybody else.

**** no, if you didnt get signed and and make money how the **** are you go to make a living or survive?
I think selling out means changing your sound to get rich.
