The name of my Choir isn't important. It was sung at the command performance with the combined choirs
Dr. Roy Klassen was the conductor. It's the 5th song on the second side of the tape. I think there was a Handel song right before it. It was the 2nd song that the combined choir did and I think it was all in latin. I remember some of the lyrics were "beauti corum bee, integra es, in lejay domini" Those are the bits and pieces I could pick out in no particular order, my tape is rather worn. The song after it I think is Hossana in Excelsis

also the arangement would be nice too. I wish there was a way to post a sample I have an mp3 that's not in the greatest shape, but it would help a lot.

The lyric would be 'Beati quorum via integra est' and the most famous setting is by Charles Villiers Stanford. (That's not called 'canticle' though.)

Try http://cherwellsingers.org/offerings.html - you can listen to it there and see if it's the one you remember.

It was probably the Cantique de Noël, better known as 'O Holy Night' by Adolphe Adam (1803-1856).

And, by the way, the 'other' Cantique is the 'Cantique de Jean Racine' by Gabriel Fauré (Jean racine not being the composer).

Edit:

No, you're not helping much!

The only other pieces I know are the Cantique de Marie and Cantique de Zacharie by Claude Goudimel, a mid-16th-century French composer.

Edit 2:

You really are a lazy bum, aren't you? How about you do your own research and stop asking others to bail you out because you're too idle?

Contact the ASCI headquarters. They should have a listing of the music programmed each year. Association of Christian Schools International info@acsi.org

Or the Southern California regional office:

Could you tell me the name of your choir?

I need the name of your choir in order for me to find out the title of the piece, but if it's not important, I guess answering your question isn't important.
