I wouldn't enjoy either, but I have been stabbed in the back several times in the past and I would never do that to someone else. So I guess I would rather have them stab me in the back.

I'd rather be the backstabbed than the backstabber because I couldn't even find myself being low enough to backstab a friend..

I'd rather be back stabbed.
I couldn't live with the guilt of backstabbing my best friend.

There was a famous guy that said something like, "I'd rather betray the world than have the world betray me." I like the quote but it doesn't apply to me. ^_^
It would really suck... but I would rather be backstabbed than be a backstabber. It's just not my style or something I would every do. Not to mention I'm a big believer in karma. The backstabber would get it worse eventually.
