Lady Gaga is right up there with Madonna & she's HIDEOUS looking. Perhaps someone in her life instilled some confidence rather than putting her down? EDIT: You know it really doesn't matter. You're fixated on LOOKS. How do you know that those parents don't praise her for OTHER accomplishments as well? Maybe they're just very supportive in all areas. My dad was a douchebag who constantly put me down & nothing was ever good enough. I was a really attractive kid but that didn't matter. Parents can really strike a kid down from the get if they want to. And some parents prefer to always compliment & not be hateful towards a child. So what? You're mixing up your ideas of raising a child with grown women & vanity. Anyone who can see a young child being complimented & somehow manage to turn that into a spiteful view of women in general is seriously sick. That would be you. So sorry you are bitter.
