none. I believe it should just be execution (with a very very sharp object, or a long curved knife), its 10 times better than anything stated above or suggested by other contributors. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is painful.Really.Any type of gas poisoning is. You start to suffocate, and your lungs clog up, so you dont just "go to sleep".
In execution (The only country formally using this method solely, for "Death Row", is Saudi Arabia), it is barely 3 seconds...The executioner (Just like theres a guy to inject the Lethal Injection, and the guy who pulls the rope) draws his sword, the administrative work is finished up, the convict of the murder/adultery crime is blindfolded, stands at his knees and bends his back. The executioner pulls the sword up, and thrusts it with all his might on his neck...*slith*, head pops off into a basket, its quickly covered and the head and body are cleansed. The murder/adultery convict's body and head are placed in one coffin and buried normally.
It does appear very gruesome and painful, yes, its very terrible to watch, but the convict will almost feel nothing, only a really really fast slit and the head is decapitated. Doctors say the head is actually still functioning (He can still see and move his/her eyes) after the blow for about 2-3 seconds. But they cannot speak or hear anything

I have to say hanging. It doesn't cost anything but a thick sturdy rope. Seems like it's quick. Nothing can't go wrong with hanging considering talking the right measurments, etc. Firing squad is a quick death but I would have to say it would be messy. Bullets cost money. Lethal injection is costly and sometimes there are botch executions. They should abolish lethal injection.

Lethal injection seems to be the best choice. I would also say firing squad if they be allowed to shoot the condemned in the head opposed to the heart.
Lethal injection has its problems but the experts say its the most painless way to do it.

1) Hanging is the best. It is the most tried and true method, and probably the most used over history. It is certainly effective, too, and less likely to be botched. Plus, it is dramatic and has more of a theatrical effect than the other two.
2) Lethal Injection is lame. Not only is it easy to mess up, but it is so anti- climatic. We should be making execution more of a spectacle- that's why I love hanging so much.

I don't like lethal injection because it makes an medical professional do the dirty work. Firing squad to me is best. Nobody really knows whose bullet did it.
The death penalty is a necessary part of justice. And should be administered by those responsible for upholding justice not medicine.

1) I think criminals should be executed in the same manner that they killed to get them on death row in the first place. But to answer your question, lethal injection is the best method.
2) Definitely not. I really hope that doesn't happen.

Lethal injection is the most humane way but I think that execution should hurt as much as possible and for as long as possible.

If you just knew about some of them sick-o that took pleasure in killing some little kid or some old woman, not just kill them ,but torching them slowly, you would think different. I'd like to be the one to put the juice to them, but I would do it bit by bit. Anyone that just boldly kills someone and then brags about it should be shot on sight. I say drop them right then and there! P on the courts! They don't deserve it.

depends on the crime, murder = hand the criminal over to the family of the victim so they may do as they choose, rapist = 5 mins in a room with the victims husband and father, child molester = handed to the victims parents if the parents are forgiving then castration before a life sentence.
