Favre will retire as a Packer. he has said plenty of times that he could never see himself walking onto the field in another team jersey. Plus, im not sure what teams would want to take him because he is getting ready for retirement. Teams are looking for a QB to last for at least 5 years depending on what type of QB they are. Favre will not be in the league for that long.

1.If Favre goes to the NFC Game and loses, he will come back next year.
2.If he goes to the SB and loses, he will come back next year.
3.If he goes to the SB and wins, he will hang em' up. He has nothing else to prove.

Brett is playing his greatest season ever since 1996. He is 2ND only to Tom Brady in passing yards, 4Th in the NFL in pass completions and a 97.7 QB rating compared to 95.8 in 1996. Right now he is having fun playing yet. Farve has only 19 games to start to tie Jim Marshall's (Cleveland Browns/ Minnesota Vikings) with 270 in all time starts by a player in any position. Me as a avid Packer Fan I hope he never retires unlike Bears fans, but we all know that day will come. Packer fans can only hope he will be around for another few years. If and when Brett leaves Green bay WI. I think he will just retire and not join another team.

Forever

If the Packers win it all this year, he'll retire. If they fall short he'll come back one more year. This is just a bunch of guessing by me, for all we know he really could play forever.

If the Packers let him go, he needs to retire, not go to another team.

I think he's got another 2 seasons in him. 16 odd years of getting battered by big, angry 250 lb men is a long time.

As long as he wants. He still is one of best quaterbacks in league and probably has the strongest arm in the league. I can see him playing a few more seasons but I think this will be his last year.

I think he'll play one more. He genuinely loves the game and to play, and as long as he can pull his weight I think he'll stay. I don't think he would play for another team.

This and next year. 2009, I doubt he'll still be around.
