Michael Jordan is the greatest player ever-
with that said i think kobe is the most talented basketball player ever. his knowledge and skill surpasses everyone
he can hit shots from halfcourt to baseline
he is the best scorer ever- and he is playing in the best era ever
defense offense
there is really nothing kobe can't do
and now he's taking the backseat in the lakers offense- so finally die hard kobe haters can only speak out of ignorance
and there is really no way to guard him
you can put all the stats you want but the truth is kobe is by far the best player in the nba and is playing on another level that few can attain - and once he is zeroed in --- its really over
ive seen MJ take over games but it seems that kobe just does it a little better
if MJ is superman than kobe is right there tuggin on his cape
i really don't like when people say MJ is better soley on the rings issue
rings do not tell you how good you are individualy, but how good your team was as a whole
not that im trying to take anything away from jordan- six rings is an amazing accomplishment- but he did not do it all by himself he has an allstar cast with him and potentially two other hall o famers
yes micheal is greater than kobe but the question is who can stop kobe and who is better which you have to give to kobe- considering the competition he goes against
plus kobe is nowhere near finished

Maybe on the same level of Jordon. lol
Look I am a die hard Kobe fan, and I am thrilled they are playing so well. There is no one that can stop Kobe, but if they can find on more consistent player(hopefully Odom/Bynum), then the Lakers will be in the same league as the Spurs and Suns.

Not as good as Kareem Abdul, WIlt Chamberlain or Jordan but hands down best in the league right now. I can't think of one person in the league that could stop him one and one.
And c'mon, there's no way in hell the lakers would have won with that team kobe or no kobe. Jordan in his prime probably couldn't win a championship with them.

he has all the talent in the world, but he has yet put it all togther. Tuff call, he hasnt even won an MVP award. He looks like he is finally getting it and started to make everyone around him better, Think this convo is better to have at the end of Kobe career.

Seriously you have to be retarded. There are more than 20 players greater than Kobe. You are clearly ignorant on the game's history. Michael Jordan's career destroys Kobe's. Utterly destroys it.

Obviously lots of players can stop Kobe, Raja Bell and Bruce Bowen come to mind. Unstoppable players tend to win playoff series, at least one...

He has the potential, when he keeps his mouth shut and plays
the game. MJ (Jordon), Wilt Chamberlin and Moses Malone
are far ahead of him now....
But he can make that list by winning few more NBA Champs
and he needs help around him to achieve this.

I am a DIE hard Kobe fan. However, I think it is MJ, Wilt, Magic, and he and shaq are tied for forth, but Kobe will pass shaq and magic for third.
