yes you can choose the people who are able to connect to your internet by setting a WEP or WPA key. when you install your wireless router just set some passwords. it's pretty hard to miss.
good luck!

Hi

Right i have an ipod touch a laptop and a pc all in one house.

I would go for a Netgear DG834G, they tend to be the most popular out of routers, if you have it secure its highly unlikely people can use your wireless network outside of your house. There are many ways you can secure your network. All of them are very very tightly secure.

Go for a Netgear there superb never had a fault if you want a bigger range then go for a DG834N.

There after sales support is top notch, let me know any more questions on it.

I have Linksys router and it work great for blocking out other people. As long as you know a bit about computers, you can set up the security to only let the devices you choose to connect to the router. I am using it with my Laptop, PSP, Nintendo DS, and Wii, and it all works perfectly.

All routers have wep or wpa encryption, you just have to enable it in the config page to password protect your network.
