Well keep in mind that you should buy gifts that you know someone will like without thinking what you will get in return. My hubby's sister always gets the family crappy gifts but her children's friends and teachers and her friends get awesome gifts. So it can be hard if you start thinking about who gets what and how much it costs but we try to just pick out gifts that we know someone will like and try not to think about the price. For instance we may have spent $70 on my brother but $100 on hubby's brother but we get them something they will really like. Maybe your gifts are a little extravagant so next year you may want to back off a little and then you won't feel disappointed. Merry Christmas!!!!

I am sure you are feeling a lil hurt or maybe even mad. But you don't give gifts with any strings or expectations .....the only thing you should think when you give a gift is "i hope they like it" ..... $750.00 is alot of money to spend on one gift, is this person your spouse ? boyfriend ? or just a close friend ? I think you need to revisit the thoughts of what gift giving is all about. And also, its not even Christmas yet so who knows what this person might surprise you with. But still think about gift giving and what it means.
Merry Christmas ~~~~

Possibly you need to re-assess what Christmas really is all about.
If you only give gifts in the hope that you receive something of equal value in return, you have lost the spirit of the holiday.
(I must add that $750 is a ridiculous amount to spend on one gift. Especially when you can't afford it.)

With respect dear friend but, are you mad?
Father Christmas gets all the gifts at privileged cut-price rates, but you didn't send him a letter of request did you?
DOH!

you do nothing. christmas is about giving and if you thought you got that person the best gift possible then thats all you can do.
of course when you're birthday comes you should carefully remind them about your purchase... ask them to take pictures at your party!
