Do you want to solve for x and y? Let's use substitution. We'll substitute the (-2x+2) for the y in the other, second equation:

6x + 2(-2x+2) = 3
6x -4x +4 = 3
2x = -1
x = -1/2

now, put (-1/2) back in the first equation to get y:

y = -2(-1/2)+2 = 1 + 2 = 3

There ya go! :)

y=-2x +2 2y=-6x +3

(3y=-6x+6) - (2y= -6x+3)

y=3

then subsitiute 3 into the formula

x=- 0.5

solve by substitution

y=-2x+2
6x+2y=3

6x+2(-2x+2)=3
6x-4x+4=3
2x+4-4=3-4
2x=-1
x=-1/2

y=-2(-1/2)+2
y=1+2
y=3
