I visit London just about every year:

I love to visit the Tate Modern, Victorian & Albert Museum, and Harrods. I also like to walk around some of the outdoor markets like Portabello Road (Notting Hill) or Spitalfields.

Check out this website: http://www.VisitLondon.com/ for more ideas.

There are soooooo many!!!
The Tower of London (the Crown Jewels are a must!!)
Trafalgar Square (terrific people-watching)
The British Museum (mummies!)
Buckingham Palace (if it's open to the public, be sure to go in!)
The London Eye (great for taking breath-taking photos)
A Thames cruise (to see the city from a different angle)
A walk in at least one of the parks - Kennsington is one of my fav's (it's cool going thru a gate, and suddenly feeling like you are in the country!)
Covent Gardens (great shops and more terrific people-watching)
Westminster Abbey (some of the most famous people are buried there)
The Royal Mews (the Gold Coach!!)
Be sure and ride on the top of a double decker bus, and don't forget to check out as many pubs as you can!!
Hope y'all have a wonderful time!!!!!!!

Tower of London
Trafalgar Square (with the lions)
Buckingham Palace (ya know all the usual stuff)

Covent Gardens (quaint little shopping area)
Hamley's (toy store)

Thames River (boat ride =D)

erm not sure what else. If you get on a tour bus it stops near all the great sights.. we got maps that had little pictures of each place and a labeled bus route.. haven't been to London loads.. once recently and when i was a LOT younger

HAVE FUN!

Personally, I found historical parts of London to be fascinating..theres a certain stuffiness stigma people have to antiquity but London can be quite charming. The London Eye and the West End are great, I wouldn't leave before seeing those.
