hi is 2.7km from exchange far also we are with talk talk aol broadband there is a lot of noise on my line 48db i have used test socket still no difirence who is responsible to reduce noice bt or talk talk and is t

ok i live 2,7km from my local exchange.my phone suuplier is talk talk but was bt. i have broadband with aol. i have lots of noise on myline 48ish db how can i get this sorted.

Check the micro filters are connected properly and one is connected for each device like an alarm, satellite box ( anything that uses the phone line).
Also try disabling the ring wire in your main socket. If you are using a telephone extension chord get rid of it.
If this don't work it's a probably a problem with your ISP or you just have a bad connection to your exchange.

call Bt first and ask them to test your line.
if they say its ok then speak with talk talk.
you can test you line online with bt if you dont want to phone them

If your with Talktalk, or any other ISP, they have to communicate with BT on your behalf. Your contract is with your ISP.
