Knowledgeable football people gave OSU as little chance to win the last NC OSU won in 2002 as the SEC homers here do this year. The odds say LSU.
The odds have been wrong more than right in BCS Championship games. OSU has beaten LSU. LSU has tied, but, not beaten OSU.
So I guess I'll go with history and say OSU.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to think LSU has a lot of advantages for the game. Almost home field. Local refs to help some more. A couple of corner backs gone for OSU. Warmer weather to help the local fair-weather football team.
It doesn't look good for the Buckeyes. But, see paragraphs one and two.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why are SEC fans blindly parroting that "Ohio State is 0-8 to SEC teams" stuff . Don't these people check anywhere before they type. OSU is a pathetic 0-8 against SEC in BOWL games.
OSU overall record against SEC is 7-10-1.
OSU was something like 1-8 against Michigan with the coach before Tressel and lost most of their bowl games. They are 5-1 vs Michigan with Tressel, winning record in bowl games and 1-1 in NC games.

Ohio State by 10. It would have been more, but with Washington being suspended the Bucks will give up a few more passing yards.

LSU. Ohio State is 0-8 to SEC teams. LSU's players will be ready and will probably play like they did against VT. OSU won't have 2 cornerbacks. LSU has Matt Flynn and Ryan Perrilloux.

One of the corners suspended isn't a starter, he's a 3rd-string sophmore, so I dont expect that to be a huge factor, maybe in some nickel packages but calm down people.
I'm not gonna guarantee a win for the Buckeyes but it's going to be closer than people think. After a year's worth of "too slow", "0-8 versus the SEC", "weak schedule" and others, you think the Buckeyes are gonna come out and lay another goose egg?
Laurinitis, Vernon Gholston, Malcolm Jenkins (starting corner) are all 1st round talents and they will have a good game. OSU's zone blitz is great and I wouldn't be suprised if they get to both LSU QB's more than 3 times.
Tressel is a better coach than Les Miles and won't make the mistakes he made last year. This is his third championship game, experience has a little merit people.
Offensively, the Buckeyes have to lean on Chris Wells. Their passing game has sputtered the last couple of weeks of the season but if Wells runs "well" in the first couple of series, look for WR's Robiskie and Hartline over the top and in the seams.
X-Factors? Look for Tressel to finally get the ball in Brandon Saine's hands while in open space.
The game will be close, dont get me wrong. I think one overtime, 34-31 Bucks. I just think Les Miles is too aggressive and its good to show faith in ur players but eventually it catches up with u.
