You are very lucky that you are unable to get Nortons Store. Nortons is pure garbage, hugh resource hog, fails to find viruses and if found is unable to remove the total virus.
Plus if you try and remove you are left with over 375 fragments of Nortons/symantec glued to your regisry keys, files/folders and subsystem. Will cause very serious conflict, Plus you will play hell removing them if you can.
You can find free antivirus programs that are light years ahead of Nortons.
Avast free for home personal use, will give you updates on the hour, plus as an excellent background scanner that really kills viruses in real time. http://www.avast.com
If you want a purchased antivirus, evaluate what I use for the past ten years and never had one virus. Also used by the Govt. Of China. http://www.filsclab.com One time fee of $29.99 for life that includes auto updates two or three times per day and all new versions for life.
