The evolutionary process manifests itself on many levels, both Micro- and Macro-. Civilization is a good example of the Micro- process. Certain theorists liken the evolution of societies to an example of micro-; wherein speech, as it pertains to the evolution of the brain, is an example of a symbiotic process. Recent DNA evidence hints that modern speech is an evolutionary process that has occured AFTER Homo-Sapiens evolved.

With all of this in mind, it is reasonable to assume that the human brain is, in fact, very good evidence of evolution.

That's a GOOD question. I don't know the answer. But I have always believed that our thoughts have an effect on our body. For instance, if we think we are being threatned, we feel fear, and our brain sends a signal to our bodies that can cause a reaction that results in a heart attack. Or our mind can modulate the fear, based on an alternative interpretation, and actually abort the adverse reaction and spare our heart. Another good example is our reaction to the opposite sex: one thought can cause an erection.

So there's definitely a connection between our minds and the body. I'm just not sure whether we can refer to the transformation of thought as "evolution", especially since we have not demonstrated as a species that thought changes (for better or worse), in a linear manner over time.

"If that's genuine there must be greater residing species then existed traditionally." Nope. As circumstances in the worldwide exchange, so will the style of species. each and every so often there will be a lot of distinctive temperatures and habitats, so a lot of species will advance as they'll advance into ideal to a lot of places. each and every so often there won't, and the Earth will merely be waiting to assist some species in assessment. additionally, if a species can't save up with the way the worldwide differences and can't evolve quickly sufficient to proceed to exist in the hot habitat, this is going to flow extinct. that's a straight forward failure on your expertise of evolution, so all you need to do is do merely somewhat greater reading. there's a great style of stuff accessible- merely like there is not any solid info for introduction. And bear in mind, notwithstanding if evolution replaced into proved incorrect, that doesn't advise Biblical introduction (or that of the Quran, or the rest) is the dazzling answer.

"Brain" not "mind." And by definition, human brains haven't changed since prehistory. How far back is that? Could be 10,000 years, could be 200,000.

If you compare the human brain with archaeological precursors, you might have a case for evolution of the human brain bringing the species to a more successful place in the biosphere. Precursors were prey. Modern man has no predators. (OK, one or two individuals might get eaten by a crocodile or polar bear, but you get my drift for us as a species.)

Evolution's thesis is that the natural world is harsh; if a species changes (a larger brain, for example) and that change makes the species more successful, that's "natural selection."

The brain, yes. The mind, no. This is because the idea of "mind" is something other than physical structure and has to be studied based on the history of civilization rather than archaeology. History is too short a time span to study evolution, which requires going back to pre-history. There seems to be no evidence that homo sapiens has evolved at all during the time of recorded history-- but in the great scheme of things, that's a very short time.

Nihilism and postmodernism are - if anything - degradations of the human mind.

Nothing can come from nothing. The second law of therodynamics proves that everything only gets worse. Evolution is an impossibility.

Depend on what you mean by the theory of evolution?

If your are talking about Darwinian notion then the answer is no, he writings revolve around the origins of species ergo humans have not changed species so have not evolved in this context.

But it’s a very tricky question you pose

No, because there currently no connections with thought and genes, and no strong theories that genes effect the thoughts you have. Since evolution is about the slow transformation of genes over time, showing a change in thoughts as an example would be a bad use of an example.

Yes. We souls are evolving, which also includs the mind evolving with the soul. Though we are not our mind, the soul is higher than the mind. We the soul that share this mind has to learn the process of controling the mind and realizeing our Higher Self. Krishna Consciousness, also known as sanatan dharma,or Bhakti yoga, is the porcess of elevating the mind to the dictates of the pure soul. The ancient Vedas say that we souls transmigrate through 8,400,000 species of life. From- acquatics to plants, to insects, reptiles birds, animals and ultimately to human beings. When one comes to the human form of life we have the ability to question our existance and relationship whith our Maker. (Also known as Krishna,Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, Elohim, etc) If we misuse our human form of life and not make any spiritual progress, then we can in our next life go down to a lower species of life. This is to protect the embodied soul, because the human form has consequences or (Karmic reactions) to their actions, but an animal does not get karma for killing or stealing etc. They are allowed by the laws of nature. Humans are not. The laws of nature are there to protect the fallen conditioned souls from harm. If we misuse we get reaction or fall to animal or lower species. We can also go to hell, but no one goes there eternally. It is for the extememely sinful karmic reactions then again one will be born on earth to try for higher evolution again. The earth planet is the planet to come to full self realization from. The higher heavenly planets are too full of sense pleasure and difficult to become detached from. This Science of evolution is written in The Hidden History of the Human Race and Forbidden Archiology by Michael A. Cremo. Totally amazing stuff.

The enigma of consciousness is more of spirtiuality than skeptism. The mind is a paradox which supports creationism not science behind the origin of species. Therefore, I would say no.
