How do i scratch gum rappers on stuff?

ok i tried to scratch gum rappers on my cell phone,and i cant get them to stick. can someone tell me how to do it?

I tried scratching gum rappers on my cell phone and they wont stick(and im not using glue on my cell phone)I just want to know how to scratch them on it!

peel the foil off the paper and smooth it over the surface of the phone.
