I like my own company so I could handle it but the fact that I was losing my freedom for 3 months. That would be hard to get my head around. I guess if I had done something like stealing I would be OK with it because I deserved it. I don't think I would be cool with it if I didn't do the crime or the crime was something like not sitting at the back of the bus, like during the civil rights movement. That would make me crazy no matter how nice the "jail" was.

I just kinda had this. I broke my ankle and couldn't get around at all. I spent the days alone. It was pretty boring most of the time - I read alot, internet shopped too much and watched alot of TV.
Did I like it - it actually wasn't too bad. I wouldn't pick it as a lifestyle, but it was very peaceful. It was nice to have my laptop so I could communicate with my friends during the day, but after 8 weeks of being cooped up - I was pretty happy to get out!

I would not like it because the punishment is for something that I have done wrong. I would be ashamed and would resolve to be better.
I would cope by organizing my time in a beneficial way. Prayer, exercise, writing short stories, outlining a novel, learning how to write sonnets, developing a network of friends, studying so that I can be of help to society when the term is ended

I personally would love it because I'm an introvert anyways.
I would read a lot, peruse the internet, bake and cook.... *sigh*...being forced to stay home and inside is a dream and that's why I don't agree with house arrest. Some introverts would absolutely love it and it's not really a punishment at all/

I would love it. I wouldn't have to go anywhere, all food and internet provided, get to stay inside and not have to work or be forced to socialize with my crazy, loud-mouthed, nosy neighbors. And it would be a great excuse not to have to see certain people in my family...some wackos there. Man I'd be in heaven. On the down side, I'd probably gain 100 pounsd sitting on my azz on the internet and munching all day.

I had a broken leg for eight months no cast home for four of those months could barely stand to pee on crutches it hurt so bad, so if you are under house arrest wit all those ammenities think of it, it could be worse (HE!! yeah bring it on) and I was laid up before we had a computer or cable no ps.2 either..

It wouldn't bother me in the winter I would have plenty to do as i love being on my PC, sewing , reading and then there is house duties. But if it was in the summer and the weather was nice I would be climbing the walls to want to get out and sit in the sun.

I would hate I would be constantly emailing and talking on the phone. I would be on ebay shopping for clothes. I would order pizza and groceries all the time and probably blab on and on and on with the delivery driver! I would never be on house arrest though!

No, I like to go out of the house. I wouldn't cope very well, but would prefer it to being in jail I guess.
