In the USA you can protect yourself from rape and robbery with guns, stun guns, mace and pepper spray.
In England you are at the mercy of armed assailants.
Why are the British made helpless by laws that supposedly protect them?

Of course there shouldn't BE rape, robbery, and assault but there is. The majority of people do not do these things and probably would not do them even if there were no laws against them. The reason there are laws is to have a reason to justify punishing those abberants who go against the best interests of society.

In England, only guns are outlawed. Mace, stun guns, and pepper spray are acceptable as are bats and the like. So, unless "armed" means exclusively "armed with a gun" they are not helpless.

There shouldn't even BE rape, robbery, guns, violence in the first place!! I don't think that guns are a good thing. With all the shootings and everything. All gov't ppl just say how horrible it all was and how disturbed the shooter was but they don't even mention what should be done to stop things like this in the future.

You can defend yourself legally with other tools that are allowed in Britain, just not guns.

If everyone in Britain were allowed to carry a gun, then the crime rate would be as high as the US. It is better to be unarmed and not attacked than armed and attacked.

They are dependent upon the police to do it all...just like their medical system.
They have just added samurai swords to the 'offensive weapons' list, making them unlawful.
gomanyes562 : ''unarmed and not attacked '' ? how would the bad guys know this ? illogical.
