i just bought a 360 and halo 3 .what other game should i get for christmas? assassin's creed or gears of war?

Gears of War is a great online multiplayer game but you already have that with Halo 3. if its between those I say go with Assassins creed. Its got a much better single player campaign. gears of War is like a 6 hour game.

Honestly, I think you can do better though. If I were you I would get Bioshock, Mass Effect or Call Of Duty 4. I have all of the games mentioned including gears, halo 3 and assassins creed. Mass Effect is an amazing game. Mass Effect is a more cinematic experience and has alot of player interaction with the enviornments. Your decesions in the game actually effect the outcome of the game. Its a breakthrough.

Bioshock won game of the year. It is one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are top notch and the story is amazing. You cant go wrong especially with its unique FPS style and plasmids (weapons).

Call Of Duty 4 is easily the best graphics in video game history. It has an amazing single player campaign mode (albeit short only about 10 hours). But, you wont find a FPS better than COD 4.

S0, you can go with Assassins Creed and you will probably be happy. i will say its a love it or hate it type of game. the controls are tedious and it has a hard learning curve. It also gets a but repetitive. I would choose them in this order...

1.Bioshock
2.Mass Effecct
3.Call Of Duty 4
4. Halo 3
5.Assassins Creed
6. Gears Of War

Gears Of War is not a FPS like Halo. It is a 3rd Person Military Horror game. Its more like Resident Evil 4 than Halo 3. Do some homework before you spread FUD.

Gears of War is a FPS shooter like Halo 3. If that's the kind of game you like, go for it. If you want something a little bit different, go with Assassin's Creed.

You might also want to look at the Half Life Orange box.

Games like Gears and Halo 3 are fun to play online, so you should get one of them if you have online.Also, if you're gonna get one of the Gears, you should try 2. Fable II, Mirrors Edge, CoD 4/5,Mass Effect are also fun games :D.

Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion, and Assassin's Creed are all amazing games. I have all of them and I were you, I'd definitely get at least one of those games.

Hey, I'm getting one for Christmas too. I got Dead Rising and the two games that came with the console. That's kind of a tough decision though, but I'd have to say go with Assasin's Creed. Good Luck!

i'd say rock band lol ok thats not on there but i have Gutiar Hero 2 and i still love it and play it those type of games almost everyone loves.

from what i've heard assasin's creed isn't as amazing as ppl make it sound but its still really good

gears of war everyone who i know who has played it loved it it is kinda easy though m and my cousin beat it in less than a day but it was so much fun and we blitzed the game and were on the easiest mode playing online was a lot of fn though
