If you say you didn't eat paste, I don't believe you.
And if you really didn't eat paste then you quite possibley were huffing gas instead.

LOL. Yes I ate paste as a child. How much I don't recall. It was over four decades ago and I'm lucky just to remember what I did yesterday!

My brother told me if I ate the glue stick, he would buy me a cabbage patch kid for Christmas.....
xmas came and there was no cabbage patch kid:(
he also told me that the bar of soap in the bathroom tastes like cake.
btw, it did not. and try washing a big giant chunk of soap out of your mouth with water. I mean, I took a big bite and chewed for a second. Bubbles everywhere.
20 years later and I still don't trust him.

OMG!... the memories your question just brought back! I remember the very unique smell and the sweet-like taste as I write! I gotta get some paste!

I was always the "goodie-goodie" and the teacher told us not to eat it so I didn't even try. Besides, it smelled bad and looked icky. I didn't like getting messy!
Now that I think about it I wonder what the paste in the early 1960s had in it. Scary!

i actually ate a whole bottle once
i was 4 and i thought it was a cool new candy..hehe
and it was pretty bad for a cool ne candy

With today's portions so much bigger, I feel that I didn't eat enough paste as a kid.
