My friend has written some software for my autistic son. He said he is prepared to give the software away for charity...any ideas on the best place to advertise charityware?

God thats nice. Great to hear of someone who wants to give back to society free of charge. Restores my faith in human nature!
Im sure you would know rather than me of the Autistic Society charity Im sure they would jump at the offer!

I don't know the answer to your question, but as a parent of an adult with ASD, and a portage (home learning) worker for a disabled childrens charity (KIDS) I would be very happy to use and share such a resource.
The address is KIDS London, 49 Mecklenburgh Square, London WC1N 2NY.

I have 3 autistic children, and it is always nice to hear of people who are trying to help, hope this helps. Why dont you contact your local authority and ask for the name of the headteacher of the local special needs school. He will be able to put you in contact with Autism Educational Services in your area, perhaps it could be used in local schools?? If you have no joy please get in touch with me, as my partner and I own a computer company and have lots of autism contacts and I have no doubt that we could help you further.
