Yes. However I have met very few republicans who are honest about the democratic parties beliefs.

whenever i am at a party the democrats are always

I have met as many “honest” Democrats as I have Republicans. (YES... my answer is; yes, I have)
I think it’s time we all be honest with ourselves regardless of political party affiliation – is not a Nation such as ours, more important than any so-called “Party”?

Yes, plenty.

I've never heard one express their party's beliefs in the idiotic, cartoonish caricature that Republicans seem to believe is real, however.

Yes. There are many in Chicago that have no qualms in expressing their thoughts on the matter. Even when I disagree with them on an issue they do not go quietly into the night. It may be a city thing. I'm not sure.
