I just want to sit in a quiet room and read a book. Maybe take a nap. Not talk to anyone in person or on the phone. I'm tired of interacting with other people. I'm sick of Christmas. Anybody else feel that way.

Definitely.
Everyone is getting upset with me because I'm not answering the phone or anything, but tonight I just want to be by myself.
Lately I've been rather anti-social, but whatever it'll pass.

Yes, this is normal. It just means that you like to "recharge" yourself by having some downtime or "me" time. Everyone needs this or they get burnt out. Take some time and you will feel heaps better. In fact, schedule a little "me" time every week. It will help you in your interaction with others and do wonders for your health too. Your ideas of reading or napping are good ones. Let everyone know that you need this alone time. If they don't "get" it, tell them you are doing meditation for your health and need the peace and quiet. Be strong.

it's dissociation. humans need to dissociate to cope with the stress and frustrations in life..go on if you feel like doing so, after all, you don't usually do this. this can be healthy as you are going to dissociate for not a very long time.

[edit] try also introspection, that is, a moment of self-analysis. this might also help you out..^_^

have a nice day! ^_^

not at the moment.. but since I'm an introvert I do feel this way fairly often. And there is nothing wrong with it.
