teacher's pet. ugh. i hate it. its just in this one class (social studies), but it really sucks, because i have nobody to talk to. i know how i got the reputation (and it wasn't even my fault!). my teacher last year told my new one that i was an excellent student. so the teacher automatically chose me as his favorite. the other problem: i have a 100.36 average in the class (not a problem, but a reason for the reputation). how do i drop this rep? i sit at the very back of class. i don't answer questions unless the teacher tells me to (i don't raise my hand). i'm quiet, but only because i have nobody to talk to. i'm working on making friends, but it's not easy. any suggestions?

why bother trying to change it?? there's nothing wrong with being good at something!! i would certainly rather have a good reputation than a bad one. maybe there's just nobody in that particular class that you would really click with.

keep up the good work, you should be proud of yourself!

You want that reputation. At least, you will later! Why don't you want to be liked by your teacher? That is a really good thing, I was always well liked by my teachers and I appreciated it a lot. You should be a good student, your prime concern about school shouldn't be friends. I mean, of course, have friends but listening in class will get you far in life. When you're in college and getting kick *** grades, you'll love your reputation because it will make your life much easier. Meet as many people as you can and befriend them, but concentrate on you and how to get where you want to be.

You figure that out, and you'll do alright.

Honestly, I wouldnt worry about it. Keep up the good work. The rest of the class is mad at you because you are good at what you do. They only envy you. Its not you, its them. Concentrate on making yourself better. When you have to work to make friends, they are really not friends. A true friendship will accept each other no matter what.

that's not THAT bad of a rep to have..
i have those problems too
i don't try to be in the limelight but sometimes you have no choice and you are pushed in
just be yourself and there's no need to try and not be who you are. people will turn around and plus you are the one that's getting 100.36 that's not your problem
at least you're not flaunting it or being annoying or whatever. Don't let it get to you and just keep on working hard
best of luck!

I don't see a problem here. But then I'm old and see things differently. If I were you I'd enjoy the status. The rest of the class will or won't understand.
