California's politicians want to raise taxes because of a large budget deficit. And illegal immigrants cost the state of California over $10 billion a year, while Mexico helps illegal immigrants cross the border.
Mexico even provides classes and booklets that teach how to illegally enter the U.S. and how to illegally stay in the U.S..
On average, a taxpaying family in California already pays over $1,000 extra in taxes just to pay for the cost of illegal immigrants. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger along with other Democrats want to increase that amount. California Republicans are against a tax increase.
Also, Mexico has caused gang crime to rise to a level unseen in any part of the U.S..
Also, California alone spends over $700 million a year on criminal illegal alien prisoners. The amount jumps to over $1 billion a year when you include local jails, police costs, and court costs.

And California's attorney general basically said the gang problem is an out of control uprising, which is an emergency situation. ('domestic insurrection' is the legal term he used ).
We know almost all of the gang problem he was referring to comes from Mexico, and those gangs are spreading across America. Democrat politicians are against deporting illegal immigrants since they count on them as being future Democrat voters.

That is immpossible. California is one largest exporters in the U.S.. California's largest export is electronics and software (far larger than the vegetable crop). And illegal immigrants are driving businesses overseas because the immigrants or destroying the schools. Employers are now having a difficult time finding local talent. That wasn't the case when Ronald Reagan was governor of California. (All of the best and fastest spy planes in the world were designed in California. Also, California is home to intel, AMD, Google, Yahoo, Oracle, Sun, H.P., etc,. Also biotech companies, Locheed (satellites), and top universities.) Illegal immigrants don't match California's economy.

Only 3% of illegal immigrants working farming (source: Pew Hispanic Center). Also, most are not needed for farming. Growers learned they can make more profit by hiring illegal immigrants than by purchasing new farming equipment. Grower's don't pass the savings on to consumers but they expect taxpayers to pick up the bill for taking care of illegal immigrants.

The Governor is a Republican. Did you miss that point?
He has run a deficit as high as Grey Davis, missed that one too.
Who cares if Mexico cares? But we won't get a dime. You can't get anything from somebody or a country that has nothing.
California has been living with Mexico since statehood. Yeah there are some dirtball illegals but like most people or races, the majority are good hard working people.

The only point I disagree on is Democrats not wanting to deport. We had 12 years of a GOP congress which also did next to nothing. This is not a problem you can say one side is absolutely right and the other absolutely wrong, they are all the same. Both sides must pay homage to the powers that reap the benefits of cheap labor.
