Its the metal one I remember... lol .. didnt realise you can get plastic ones.... oh the joy of discovering I can purchase one... lol

Remember them, I've still got stairs, and I have two Slinkys which can race down them, the original metal ones.
The modern plastic ones don't walk very well, but you can still buy the originals on Ebay, many of them new.
Slinkys are a great toy, one of the few classics which never got banned by health and safety.
I'm going to give them both a race now.
Hope you see this before the end of the auction, if not there are always some on Ebay.

Yep, i had a slinky, i use to love when it went down the stairs, now that was neat.

I got one like a month and a half ago from a factory tour. I went to see where a friend works and they passed them out with the company logo.

Well....I am 30....and I certainly have childhood memories of having a slinky.
Edit: I think most of the ones we had were plastic....I think we had a metal one at one point, though.
