Don't do that if you can help it. Get out and find some real people to interact with on Christmas Day.
If you are unable to be with friends or family or celebrate your usual traditions, or if because of a tragedy or loss you find yourself alone and searching for new traditions, why not find a way to help someone less fortunate than yourself?
Volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter. Visit a church observing Christmas Eve or Christmas Day services.
Drive around and look at Christmas lights with Christmas music playing in the background. If you are feeling especially festive and generous, dress up like an elf or at least put on a Santa hat and take some fruit baskets to the nursing home or some Dollar Store coloring books, crayons, and toys like that to a children's ward at a hospital. Sing Christmas carols.
Stay and visit and make someone's day. Bake Christmas cookies and take some to places where people have to work on Christmas---fire station, police station, hospital, etc.
Find a place to walk in the woods and find a live "Christmas tree". You could even make some birdseed & peanut butter "ornaments" or string cereal rings on garlands of yarn to decorate an outdoor tree and give a gift to the birds and squirrels.
If you celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, you realize that part of the gift of Christ is that He left us the Holy Spirit when He ascended to heaven, so that now believers never are truly alone---even the name prophecied for the Christ child speaks of this: "Emmanuel---God is with us". Remember that no matter where you are or what you are doing, and realize that you are not alone if you have God.
It might also help to realize that Mary and Joseph were far from home, alone and scared with no room in the inn when Jesus came into the world. They spent that time with strangers--the innkeepers, the shepherds, the Wise Men--not family and friends, and it was not a frivolous fun time as we have come to expect at Christmas, but rather a peaceful silent night. Find joy in the solitude, and thank God for His wondrous gift!

Depending on your age....I only say that because I am looking foreward to [please pray for me to] be alone this Christmas!!!! I will just light some candles, make up the couch, grab me something good to munch on & watch Charmed until I fall asleep. I'll take a nice hot bath with my candles burning & jazz in the background & sleep some more...Sometimes being alone is good it helps you find yourself & think. Plus I have to work the day before & after, & i'm just really in need of some me time....The kids can come home on the 26th & mommy will be in a relaxed good mood to continue on with the rest of their winter break...Happy Holidays

Treat yourself to a fantastic Christmas on your own!
Women:get a massage, go on a mini shopping spree, go do something new or radical, like sky diving, or spend the day in the kitchen baking. If you make brownies or something, you could give them to your friends or neighbors as a Christmas gift. Or volunteer someplace you like or can relate to-such as an animal shelter.
Men: Buy yourself tickets to a concert or sporting event that you've always wanted to go to- as a Merry Christmas to Me! present. Or picture your dream day, and give it to yourself!
Merry Christmas!

I hope you have friends. Then spend christmas with them. Also help the community by donating food to the less fortunate. And you might meet friends there.

I spend as much time with others as possible. Friends, neighbors, family. I invite them over, and they return the favour. Try it, it is a great way to keep yourself from getting depressed or lonely.
