We will all be he same, the supermarkets will be rubbing their hands with glee at the money they will take. By about three o/c the shelves will be empty, we will buy every thing we can lay our hands on, things we have never tasted, even things we don't like, we will bung it in the trolley anyway. But just think for a Minuit, the shops will only be shut for one day,and then it is all back to normal.

I don't know about christmas eve but these days it seems like everyone is going in the morning to avoid the rush there's no one at the mall from 5pm-8pm

As I work for in a supermarket, I can tell you that each day we are getting closer to Christmas, the shops are getting busier.

I would check your favoured supermarket's opening hours, as most of us are opening silly hours this coming weekend.

For example, we are opening untill midnight on saturday(22nd), sunday hours for sunday, and then at the stroke of midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning, they will open then, untill 5pm.

Maybe pick one of the quieter times, in the middle of the night to go shopping.!!

very busy. i work in a 24 hr tesco and the week of xmas the store is always packed thru the day and at night it is still pretty busy. i suggest getting there in early morning between 8 and 10 am. that way the booze aisle is open for you and most stuff is on shelves.

I made the mistake of going shopping on xmas eve last year between shifts, never again. The place was jam packed full of people stocking up despite it only being closed for xmas day!! Best to avoid if possible.

Avoid if you can. I would never do Christmas eve shopping again.
